Freedom for Animals carry out essential campaigns to help the often forgotten animals suffering in places such as circuses, aquariums, zoos and TV and film.

The investigations, research and campaigns they carry out achieves long-term change ensuring animal suffering stops, for good.

Having worked for the charity for 10 years, I have been immersed in the campaigns and I feel passionately about the causes that the charity campaigns on. The individual stories of some animals is heartbreaking. For example, Josh the monkey who was found in terrible conditions during an undercover investigation. He was so mentally disturbed that he had chewed off his own tail and continuously rocked from side to side. Thanks to Freedom for Animals, Josh lived out the remainder of his life in a sanctuary, giving him freedom, safety and the companionship of other monkeys. Josh, is just one of the many animals who are forced to live a life of confinement when he deserved so much more.

On a broader scale, the charity fights for changes in the law such as the recent huge victory of the ban on wild animals in circuses. Decades of relentless campaigning have made sure that wild animals in England, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland are free from the cruel life that a circus brings.

On 11th-13th September I will be walking 80km for Freedom for Animals. Please sponsor me and help the valuable work that they do continue.

Thank you
