Sam Threadgill It is a real privilege to work for an organisation that has been on the forefront of campaigning on behalf of captive animals for over sixty years. Freedom for Animals utilises grassroots activism, groundbreaking investigation work as well as political lobbying to achieve meaningful improvements to the lives of those individuals stuck in captivity whilst at the same time working towards the abolition of zoos, aquaria and animal circuses. In November 2019, Sam joined the Freedom for Animals team as Director. Sam has spent almost a decade campaigning in the animal protection movement, primarily against wildlife persecution. Sam has a background in photography, having recently completed a Masters degree in the subject in which his work dealt with issues surrounding zoos, captivity and the wild. This lead him to work on investigation projects throughout the UK and Europe, detailing the plight of animal suffering and exposing abuses.
