Adopt a sea turtle

Adopt a turtle with us and fight to keep them wild and free

Sea turtles can live for decades. In the wild they would swim thousands of miles in the vast open ocean. Tragically in captivity, they are forced to swim in the same small space, over and over again. Exploited for entertainment these animals will never make it back into the wild unless we take action.

Your adoption will help animals

By adopting a sea turtle with us today, you will fuel work to protect turtles and end their suffering in captivity. Freedom for Animals are campaigning for an end to cruel aquariums and the live capture of animals for the aquarium industry.

You will support undercover investigations at aquariums and other captive facilities to expose exploitation and to free turtles and other animals from cruel captivity.

What you will receive

Adoptions cost £30 for a whole year and in your pack you will receive:

- Welcome letter

Adopt today to help turtles like Lulu

In 1940 while still a tiny turtle hatchling, it is believed Lulu was taken from her ocean home by a TV advertising agency to appear in an advert for soap.

Since then she has lived in three aquariums and been put on display for human entertainment. Each tank so incredibly small and barren compared to the vast oceans she was born to roam. In captivity she circles the same restricted space again and again with no chance to explore her natural world.
