Penguins like Stella have been bred into captivity, and will spend their whole lives in zoos and aquariums. They are kept in enclosures that can never meet their needs, or compare to the lives of their wild counterparts. In the wild, they would swim in the vast ocean and only come ashore to breed and moult. Tragically, in captivity they are forced to swim in the same small space, and live in inadequate enclosures. Exploited for entertainment, these animals will never make it back into the wild, unless we take action.
By adopting a penguin with us today, you will fuel work to end their suffering in captivity. You will support our undercover investigations at zoos and aquariums, and our campaigns to expose exploitation, to free penguins and other animals from cruel captivity.
