Adopt an Owl

Adopt an owl with us to campaign for freedom for all birds

Owls are forced to endure a miserable existence in bird of prey zoos in the UK. Tied down, manipulated and starved purely for entertainment - this is no life for a wild bird.

Mobile zoos exploit owls as props and travel with birds in small boxes up and down the country. Nocturnal species are forced to be out in daylight, going against their natural biology and behaviour.

Your adoption will help animals

By adopting an owl with us today, you will fuel work to protect owls and end their suffering in captivity. Freedom for Animals are campaigning for an end to the tethering of owls and for an end to bird of prey displays.

You will support undercover investigations at zoos and other captive facilities to expose exploitation and to free elephants and other animals from cruel captivity.

What you will receive

Adoptions cost £30 for a whole year and in your pack you will receive:

- Welcome letter
- Certificate of adoption
- Cuddly toy owl made from plastic bottles!

Adopt today to help owls like Ronny

Ronny the barn owl was used in displays at a UK bird of prey zoo. In order to make her comply to human demands she was removed from her parents and reared by humans. She has been conditioned to only fly on command to put on show for human entertainment. She is a wild animal and should be flying free.
