Thanks to England’s Wild Animals in Circuses Act 2019 and similar legislation in Wales and Scotland, the likes of elephants, lions, and tigers are no longer used in circus performances. 

However, a handful of circuses across the UK still use ‘domestic’ animals like horses, ponies, donkeys, rabbits, pigeons and even cats!

Our 2024 investigation, Lives Left Behind, revealed that the animals currently used for circus performances face the same stresses, difficulties, and risks that wild animals faced before the ban. All animals deserve safety, and freedom from exploitation. 

That’s why we’re asking for your help to oppose animal circuses, and end this cruel practice once and for all.

The list below shows the animal circuses we know of touring the UK this year. Use it to find any near you, and see the dates to mobilise and protest. We will provide FREE PROTEST MATERIALS for activists. 

Circus Mondao and Peter Jolly's Circus update their next tour dates and locations as the season progresses, whereas Circus Ginnett and Giffords Circus have uploaded their full tour. If dates change they will be amended on this list accordingly.
