Location: Manchester office
Hours: 1 day a week, Monday - Friday (to be negotiated)
Voluntary position

Events that use animals for public display are sadly on the rise. Wild animals like penguins, reindeer, meerkats, skunks, birds, snakes and lizards, are transported to events around the country, to entertain crowds. Our work has highlighted serious welfare concerns for the animals used in such events and the lack of regulation in the industry.

This year we have started a new phase of the campaign, engaging with local authorities to create policies against the use of live animals in events.

We are looking for a committed animal campaigner to join our team in a voluntary role, to help us continue to deliver this work, focusing on local authorities. You will work alongside our Campaigns Director in our office in Manchester.

Animals in Events Campaigner role description

Apply for this role by sending a CV and covering letter to [email protected]

*Please note the above role is voluntary. As a small charity we try to do as much as we can with our limited funds to help animals in need and there is always so much more to do. In return for your time, hardwork and passion, we will support you throughout your time with us and offer training opportunities wherever we can.

There is a small budget available for volunteer expenses as we really want you to be part of our team even if your finances are limited.  These will  be considered on a case by case basis.

We hope you will get a lot from your time working for us including skills and experience but most importantly the chance to make a real difference to the lives of animals.
