The very ethos of Freedom for Animals is what I most like about this charity. The grassroots connection, investigation work and lobbying the government for legislation change is very special. The abolition of animals held captive in the entertainment industry is what FFA works so hard for and is at the forefront of everything they do. I feel honoured to work for a charity that holds true to itself and shows no compromise and to be part of such a compassionate group of people

Laura has been involved in grassroots animal rights since the early 2000’s. This included working with Freedom for Animals, then known as CAPS, to close a local zoo. Laura has also campaigned against wildlife persecution and vivisection, out in the field, holding street stalls and joining protests.

Laura has worked in animal rescue centres in the UK and volunteered abroad for many years and continues to do this now. Her close work with animals gives her an insight into the lives of the innocent and gives her the drive to carry on working for those that others forget.

In 2017 Laura completed her degree and has since used this to campaign for a better world for all animals. Laura has carried out a range of roles at the charity, from research, campaigning and fundraising, to Office Administrator and is now Fundraising Manager.
